A couple more pieces of ?
A couple of XR7's sitting in the back. The grey one was purchased for parts. I've taken the engine out and looking forward to doing my first rebuild. The green one's drive train managed to slip away from me just before I purchased the car. The dream / goal is to enter this one in the http://www.targanewfoundland.com/ some day.
# 2
Here's another Eliminator. This one's a 351C 4 Spd. Needs some serious body work in a couple of spots and floor works as well. It's pretty fast though because I haven't ripped the engine out of this one yet. Came with huge back rubber sporting Cragers. That's a no go in my books so off they came exchanged for stock caps of the 428.
Sitting and waiting to rumble once more.
Waiting for what you ask. Ah money would be a good start. Front valence with signal and gas tank can also been seen is this pic, hanging awaiting a refresh. The engine lift begging to be used is ready willing and able.
More Fords
Another Ford in use daily is doing well.
Can you tell what's hiding in the bushes?
Warning. Not responsible for severe depression resulting from reading this Blog.
My 1970 original paint Pastel Blue 428 Eliminator get a rare glimpse on the afternoon sun.
Pieces stripped off and rusted panels is sits and sits only to be moved from small garage to cover of tarp year after year after year. Still, you can not deny the potential and imagine the splendor on taking delivery in late 69 or early 70.
A few dings here and a rust hole there still adorn this weathered beauty.
Spring is here
Looks like spring has finally arrived in Ontario. I have had the chance over the last 2 days to run my 68 standard to make sure I got all the mechanical issues worked out. So far so good.
Even though my ride is missing some cosmetic pieces (and the whole dashboard) right now, people still come up to me to comment on the car and ask questions. Of all the rides I could have chosen, there was no doubt in my mind that a 68 cougar was the ride for me. I still love the lines on these cars and find there are very few cars out there that give me the samelevel of excitment when I look at them.
